Ingeniería Gaerum inaugura oficina en el Aeródromos de Rozas
Ingeniería Gaerum, empresa gallega perteneciente al Grupo Aerum que está especializada en la integración de sistemas en plataformas aéreas, ha abierto una nueva oficina en el Aeródromo de Rozas en Lugo para apoyar a Indra en el desarrollo del avión opcionalmente tripulado Targus que la compañía está desarrollando dentro de la Civil UAVs Initiative.
La empresa de nueva creación, que fijó su sede en 2016 en Galicia, actúa como principal subcontratista de Indra en la iniciativa que la Xunta ha impulsado con un doble objetivo: fomentar el desarrollo de drones civiles que mejoren los servicios que la administración presta al ciudadano y reforzar la posición de las empresas gallegas en uno de los sectores con mayor potencial de crecimiento.
Desde sus nuevas oficinas, la empresa de ingeniería y servicios aeronáuticos apoyará a Indra en los trabajos de desarrollo, construcción y certificación del avión opcionalmente tripulado Targus, una aeronave que con 1.230 kilogramos de peso y unas capacidades de vigilancia excepcionales es a día de hoy el proyecto más ambicioso de desarrollo de un dron civil que se está abordando en España.
Este avanzado dron podrá desempeñar labores de protección de bosques, lucha contra incendios, tareas de salvamento y vigilancia marítima, conservación del medio natural, detección de vertidos en el mar y ordenación territorio, entre otras muchas tareas.
Dentro de este proyecto, Ingeniería Gaerum se ocupará de realizar modificaciones en la aeronave de vigilancia P2006T MRI para convertirla en no tripulada y crear así el Targus. Se ocupará de integrar los sistemas de control, realizar las pruebas en tierra y en vuelo, y gestionar el proceso de certificación para obtener los permisos necesarios para poder pilotar la aeronave remotamente desde tierra.
Por otra parte, Ingeniería Gaerum participa en todas las operaciones del avión de vigilancia MRI, que actualmente tiene base en el Aeródromo de Rozas, poniendo a disposición de Indra y de la Xunta el personal y los medios necesarios para ejecutar las misiones encomendadas.
Ingeniería Gaerum cuenta con el apoyo de proveedores y subcontratistas locales para cumplir sus objetivos. Desde la nueva oficina que ha inaugurado continuará trabajando para impulsar el tejido industrial en el entorno del polo tecnológico de Rozas y todas las actividades de la Civil UAVs Initiative.

The prestigious National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) has recently released a public communication announcing the development of a new era of Electric Aircrafts. NASA has contacted the Italian Manufacturer Tecnam Costruzioni appointing the P2006T like the best aircraft in the market to develop this project.
First MRI launched in South Africa
We are pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with a leading South African security company, regarding the successful MRI aerial surveillance system.
The agreement includes the sale of a complete aerial and ground system that will be delivered in record time, in view of the urgent need for such a system for both terrestrial and maritime surveillance and has both civil and military applications.

MRI in CABSEC, Curacao
It was the first time that IQPC organised this conference named Cabsec and held in Curacao. This island located 20 Miles North of Venezuela was the scenario that gathered multiple representatives of all kind of Forces that are fighting to keep the balance and peace in the Caribbean.
This area has been suffering the constant attacks of smugglers, drug dealers, fisheries thefts and many other crimes. In particular most of the drug that come from South America is coming through routs and sailing on these waters. Indra was one of the sponsors of this conference and we were able to give a speech demonstrating the capacities of the MRI. We had a mock-up of the real aircraft and many of the Forces present during the conference were able to come to our stand and have a look at the System.
After two days of conference we realised that this area of the world needs help and International Cooperation to protect their coasts and they need it now… Thus is where we believe that the MRI can help those Agencies that are run by small budgets and really need eyes in the sky.
